Well, it’s been a while but we are getting into the swing of things, and getting our hands dirty. 

Little Miss and her BFF, J.R. attended the planting a salad bowl MITI at English Gardens and had a blast. They were very hard at work filling their pots, sowing their lettuce seeds and learning about the care of lettuce or “lollipops” as Little Miss calls small pieces of lettuce with stems, especially spinach. She just loves it! We just can’t wait to watch the seeds sprout and grow into plants big enough to harvest.

Little Miss loves helping me water our house plants and fertilizing with the Miracle Grow pump (foamy) fertilizer, very kid friendly. Keeping our seeds moist won’t be a problem at all.

Who knows where we will end up next with seeds, first lettuce, maybe tomatoes, peppers or carrots?? All will be in containers, since we don’t have a great sunny spot for a veggie garden, hhhmmmm….. even potatoes…… so many options, we will see where this spring takes us!
