The only way to celebrate fall is with a party! We want to highlight some of English Gardens Michigan-grown fall harvest items and how you can use them for a fireside fall party.
Corn Stalks: When guests arrive at the front door, impress them with your fall décor. Line your front door with towering corn stalks.
Pumpkins: With pumpkins, the possibilities are endless! Pumpkins make for the perfect addition to any tablescape décor. When carved, place tea light candles in the center of your pumpkin. Line the walkway to your backyard to light up the night for guests. Or amuse your party guests by cutting off the top of a pumpkin and hollow it out. Fill each pumpkins with appetizers such as olives, crackers, chips or cheese cubes.
If there are kids in attendance at this party, hide smaller, pie pumpkins throughout your backyard. Encourage kids to hunt for these pumpkins. The team that finds the most wins a prize.
Hay Bales: Not only are hay bales the ultimate sign of fall, they are practical. When guests are huddled around a firetable, offer additional seating with hay bales covered in warm blankets.
Gourds: Similar to pumpkins, gourds also make great tablescape décor! Mix with other fall harvest items such as hay.
The best part of a fireside fall party-the refreshments. Offer guests warm apple tea, apple sangria, or indulgent apple crisp. For apple recipes and ideas, read our Fall Inspirations magazine.
