Bloodgood and Crimson Queen are two of our favorite Japanese Maples. Both feature bold and beautiful fall color.
Bloodgood: An ornamental tree with deep purple leaves that emerge in spring and mature to a deep burgundy throughout the summer. In the fall, the palm-shaped leaves turn a brilliant red. Bloodgood grow 15 to 20 feet tall and spread just as wide. Plant in full sun to part shade.
Crimson Queen: A dwarf, rounded tree with a weeping branch habit that adds fine, graceful texture to your garden. The highly dissected foliage emerges purple in the spring and develops to spectacular shades of red and orange in the fall. It grows 8 to 10 feet tall and spreads 10 to 12 feet wide. Plant in full sun to part shade.
