Two of our favorite plants are the Serviceberry tree and perennial Bleeding Heart.
Serviceberry
Our Landscape Designers love the Serviceberry. It’s a naturally beautifully small tree that’s a very versatile landscape plant. The Serviceberry is great in all seasons with masses of showy white flowers in spring, edible berries in June, amazing orange/red color in the fall and interesting branching for the winter. Reaching a maximum height of 15-20 feet tall, with a spread of 15 feet, the Serviceberry is perfect as a front yard accent. It grows best in full sun to part shade. And it’s great for nature lovers, as this tree will be sure to attract many birds!
Dicentra
Also known as Bleeding Heart for its heart-shaped dark pink and white flowers that bloom along horizontal stems. This perennial attracts birds and butterflies.
