The key to a great garden is your soil. You can have the best-grown, quality plants, but if your soil is not so good, then plants won’t thrive.

Here are some power amendments that will improve your soil to help grow bigger, better plants.

For new plantings

English Gardens Soil Conditioner

English Gardens Soil Conditioner is composted pine bark that helps loosen and enhance the soil with organic nutrient-rich material to support the growth of roots. Most container-grown plants are now grown in a pine bark soil, so the plants adapt easier when soil conditioner is used. The pH of the mushrooms also helps the plants thrive and adapt to their new surroundings easier. Use this compost as a mulch or spread the compost about 1 – 2 inches thick and work it into the soil.

For containers or gardens

For acid-loving plants

Sphagnum Peat Moss

Organic material from peat bogs, Sphagnum Peat Moss is light and porous to provide excellent water retention as it loosens heavy compacted soils and binds sandy soils. Great to enhance potting soil and garden beds. Spread as a top dressing and work it into the soil.

For gardens – new for 2021

Fish Sh!t

This organic soil conditioner is created from tilapia waste.  When added to the soil, it increases bacteria and microorganism growth which will improve plant health and flavor in edible gardening.
