Lights

Ornaments

If you have children or clumsy adults helping to remove ornaments, place blankets or towels down around the tree. After the ornaments have been removed, wrap in recycled Christmas wrapping paper and place into plastic storage containers.

Fresh Christmas Trees

Utilize your Tree Transporter to dispose of the fresh Christmas tree. By placing your tree in the Tree Transporter, you avoid sprinkling needles throughout your home when moving the tree.

Keep it green by researching local recycling centers that will allow you to drop off your Christmas tree or in some cities they will pick up trees curbside.

Sweep up any needles that have fallen on the floor and then vacuum any remaining needles with an empty vacuum bag or canister.

Life-Like Christmas Trees

Protect your investment by carefully disassembling your tree following these simple steps:

1. Start by removing the top section and slightly fold the branches upwards. Avoid folding them too firmly or not at all. This process will prevent matting. For the next section of the tree, use a string or synch strap to fold up and tie each row or two of branches. This will ensure the tree is ready for unfolding and shaping next year. Do not tie or synch too tightly. The tips of the branches should have
   a little room to prevent matting. After the second section is folded up and strapped, remove it from the bottom section and unplug the light sets. Continue to do this with each section of the tree until the tree is fully unassembled.
2. Properly storing your tree will greatly extend its life and appearance when you take it out of storage next year. Purchase an appropriate size tree storage bag. The bag should be bigger than the original shipping cartons, so the tree will have room to be loosely folded but not smashed. Avoid forcing the sections into a box as this will bend and mat the tips and needles, and could break the branches.
3. Do not put your tree away if the lights are hot! Allow the lights to cool and rest for at least 30 minutes.
4. Store your tree in a cool and dry place. In the basement off the floor, or a first-floor closet is the best place. Avoid storing in a hot attic or garage.
5. We do not recommend moving and storing assembled trees. They are not engineered for this.
