Daffodil Giveaway
March 20, 2021
English Gardens is celebrating Spring by giving away bunches of Daffodils. On Saturday, March 20 come by any of our six retail locations and pick up your free, fresh-cut flowers. They will be available while supplies last with a limit of one per customer.
Symbolizing new beginnings, the Daffodil is synonymous with spring. Ancient lore suggests the Daffodil is not only the sign of winter’s end but a symbol of future prosperity. In China, if a Daffodil bulb is forced to bloom during the New Year, it will bring good luck to your home. Bring happiness and good fortune home with you!
“What better way to celebrate this day than with a gift to our customers,” says John Darin, English Gardens President. “We hope to brighten their day just as spring brightens ours.”
How to Care for Your Fresh-Cut Daffodils
- Place in a clean vase filled halfway with fresh, room-temperature water.
- Hold the Daffodils next to your vase to gauge how much stem to trim.
- Using a sharp knife, cut the stems at a 45-degree angle. This allows for better water absorption.
- Add cut-flower food. Frequent re-cutting of the stems helps prolong the life of your Daffodils.
