Our October Charity of the Month is: Cass Community Social Services

Funds raised will be used to support the Tiny Homes development sponsored by Cass Community Social Services. The organization is in the process of building 20 to 25 homes in Detroit’s Cass Community for low-income individuals/families.

Cass Community Social Services provides food (700,000 meals annually); housing for 300 men, women and children experiencing homelessness each night; health care through two free medical clinics; and a day program for 120 adults with developmental disabilities, as well as job training and placement through Green Industries which recycles paper, cardboard, wood, glass, furniture and installs solar lighting.
