Well it is that time of year again, my favorite of all, FALL!!!! Leaves changing to magnificent shades of red, orange and yellow, temps cooling down, pumpkins, cornstalks, bonfires… the list goes on and on.
It also means fall clean up time!!! We have 2 very large maple trees in our yard along with a neighbor who has 5-6 cottonwood trees, so rakes are our friends this time of year.
Little Miss’ grandma bought her a lovely pink rake for this particular season. She has been raking in the house since she received it. Finally this weekend she was able to put it to good use. This will just be the beginning of the many weekends of leaf raking at our house.
When I got home from work on Sunday I was pleasantly surprised to see this little pile of leaves in our front yard with Daddy and Little Miss getting ready to bag them up. While she had more fun playing in the leaves she sure was a big helper picking them up.
I know temps are cooling down but that shouldn’t stop you from getting out in the yard with your kids, this is great family fun!!! Next will be perennial clean up – wonder how Little Miss is with a pair of pruners!!???
