Shop House Plants Online
Cyclamen is a blooming house plant with variegated leaves and flowers that reach above the foliage. It is popular during the holidays, but this beauty will put on a show all year. The blooms can last for months at a time and come in a variety of colors like dark pink, purple, white, red and light pink.

Light

During the winter months, Cyclamens are in a bloom cycle. Keep them in a bright, spot out of direct light. These plants prefer temperatures between 50 and 70 degrees, so make sure no heat vents or drafts are nearby.

During the summer months, or in between bloom cycles, they can be moved to a darker, cooler location to rest.

Water

Cyclamens need minimal water requirements. Insufficient water needs is the number one reason these plants fail. Allow the soil to dry out at least an inch below the surface before watering.  A good rule of thumb for watering Cyclamems are to only water when the container feels so light it might blow over.

Add a humidity tray below your plant during the winter months to keep adequate humidity and keep your plant happy.

Fertilizer

Feed your Cyclamen with a low nitrogen fertilizer every few weeks while in bloom. Do not fertilize when dormant.
