Spider Plant

The Spider Plant is a popular choice among house plant enthusiast. The variegated foliage makes for a striking accent to any indoor space, and the cascading growth habit makes them perfect for hanging baskets. Not to mention they are easy to care for, which is perfect for any level of plant parent. Listed as one of the top air-purifying plants, this is a great option for your home or office.

Light

Although the Spider Plant isn't fussy about lighting conditions, it does prefer moderate, indirect light. Keep the plant away from direct light or the leaves can get sunburned.

If brown spots start to develop, move the plant to a place with less sunlight.

Water

Spider Plants like to dry out a bit between waterings. Avoid placing your plant near heat vents. This can cause the tips to turn brown.

Mist your Spider Plant periodically to keep them thriving.

Fertilizer

Use a half-strength all-purpose fertilizer two times a month during the Spring and Summer. Do not fertilizer in the Fall and Winter.

During the Summer months, your Spider Plant may grow tiny white flowers, and little baby plants called "pups".
