Choosing the Perfect Container
Containers are the finishing touch every plant needs. With so many options to chose from, finding the perfect one for your plant and your home is easy.
Containers come in a variety of styles and sizes. Ceramic, Metal, Terracotta and Self-watering are just a few styles available. You can choose a cache or drop-in pot so you can swap your containers with the seasons. Or select one with drainage holes and plant directly in the container for a more permanant look. There is no right or wrong when choosing the perfect container. But there are lot of options.
Ceramic
Classic and modern all at once, glazed ceramic is a favorite. These are perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. Some benefits are the variety of colors, sizes and shapes available; easy to clean and will hold its color. However, these pots can be heavy, and should be moved indoors for the winter to prevent damage.

Terra Cotta
The oldest and most recognizable types of pottery is Terra Cotta. Available in either glazed or unglazed, these pots are still as popular as ever. The porous nature of the pots increases air circulation, and helps keep roots healthy by preventing root rot. That also means your plants may require more water. Available in various sizes, these pots are good for indoor and outdoor use. When used outdoors, monitor your plants closely, as they will dry out more quickly.

Metal
Modern and sleek, metal containers are a great lightweight alternative. Coming in several sizes and shapes, metal is a stylish option. It is durable enough to be used outdoors, but can get hot, so keep an eye on your plants water needs. Some metal containers do not have drainage holes, it is best to use these pots as drop-ins. Place your plant in the growers pot directly into the container. This allows you to provide adequate water and drainage for your plant.
