English Gardens associates are trained on the newest varieties and the tried-and-true favorites. We can help make your selection process easier. We developed our Clipboard Sketch to make it easier to give you plant recommendations and quick design tips while you’re shopping in our stores.

Our Clipboard Sketch is free with the purchase of a $100 English Gardens Gift Card, which you can use to purchase the plants and materials needed to create your project.

With the assistance of one of our nursery professionals, we’ll ask you to sketch the area you’re looking to improve.  We’ll need to know approximate dimensions of the space, how much sunlight the area receives, which direction it faces, and wind exposure.  It’s also a good idea to know what the soil is like. Of course, if you have photos, bring them in.

We’ll ask you a few questions about what you want to accomplish and any plant or color preferences. Then, we’ll make some plant recommendations and indicate where they should be planted.

Take your Clipboard Sketch home and you’ll have a roadmap for success.

We’ll also provide recommendations for products needed to get your plants off to a healthy start, and give you a handy guide for proper planting procedures and tips on caring for your plants throughout the season.
