So what else do you buy for a 3 year old who loves her princesses?? A Rapunzel tomato plant, of course. Little Miss was so very excited when I told her we had gotten her a Rapunzel plant. She loves tomatoes, and of course Rapunzel.
We spent a little time over the last week planting, digging in the dirt and having fun. Little Miss picked out plants for her own container garden and planted it, but then she just wanted to dig in the dirt by herself. She got her shovel and hoe out of the garage and went to town, transferring dirt from one pile to another and then into an empty pot.
Once I was finished planting my container gardens, and we were ready to plant “her” tomato she was up and out of that dirt pile so fast. Little Miss dug the hole by herself, even found some fat earthworms, which she didn’t want to have anything to do with because they were “slobbery”. She added the tomato cage and watered the tomatoes and we are just waiting for harvest time now….. we have some time, I know.
Can’t wait to see what this season brings for us, veggies, beautiful container and perennial gardens, and fun times with the family. Once my gardens have filled in more I will be posting pictures. I’ve tried some different things this season, with more container gardens that I have ever had. I just couldn’t decide what I liked the best, so I just bought it all…….
P.S. I didn’t purposely pick out her outfit, Little Miss did that all on her own. Gotta love independent toddlers!
