Helleborus
We know spring is right around the corner when Helleborus starting blooming in the garden.  Often peeking through a blanket of snow, this evergreen plant brings an awesome pop of color to the late winter/early spring landscape. Plus, it’s deer resistant. Plant in full or partial shade. 

Witch Hazel
Another late winter-blooming plant is Witch hazel.  Its showy flowers bloom in late winter/early spring with a nice spicy fragrance.  This flowering shrubs has many season of interest.  Its fall color is especially appealing with a leaves that turn a nice coppery/burgundy color.
