Often, it’s the details in the landscape that make it extra special.
We’re always looking for plants and elements that can be used in our projects to make them stand out. When it comes to boulders, we found some great ones.
They’re blue-green shot rock from the south side of Lake Superior in a cropping that was strong enough to withstand the Glaciers. They’re similar to those found in the Pictured Rocks National Parks and along the shoreline. The huge sections of rock are dynamited into smaller irregular-shaped boulders that knit together to form a tight-fitting retaining wall.
The boulders are “freshly” exposed to weather and air, so their color is bright and bold; unlike others that have been exposed to the elements for hundreds of years.
One look and you’ll see the difference.
Our goal is to always use the best and most interesting products to make your landscape outstanding!
