Valerie Tarquini received a Gold Environmental Improvement Award for the Bourkoulas residence.

The homeowners are of Greek descent and requested a back yard landscape with a Mediterranean feel – something simple, formal with lots of symmetry. Existing boxwood and arborvitae hedges were enhanced with seasonal and year-round color. Other plants include: Trautman junipers and Rozanne geraniums for summer-long color and easy maintenance. Hydrangeas provide late season color and texture lasting into the winter. View the backyard.
