A huge Thank You to all the customers who participated in our Round-Up for Charity Program for September. Because of your generosity, English Gardens donated $4,224.79 to The American Heart Association: Kids Heart Challenge. To date, English Gardens has donated more than $100,000 to various organizations through their Round Up for Charity Program.
This September, English Gardens stores across Metro Detroit are raising money for the American Heart Association: Kids Heart Challenge through our “Round Up for Charity” program.
To raise funds, English Gardens is asking customers to round up their purchases to the nearest whole dollar amount or more. All of the money raised will be donated to the American Heart Association: Kids Heart Challenge which will help provide physical education equipment for local schools. Due to virtual learning and sanitation requirements, the American Heart Association has seen an increase in requests for physical education equipment. For every $1,000 raised, the AHA will provide a gift certificate to a local school to purchase needed equipment.
For the past 100 years, the American Heart Association has been committed to helping people live longer, healthier lives by fighting heart disease and strokes. The Kids Heart Challenge allows local kids to learn about keeping their brains and bodies healthy through physical and technology-based activities. This program provides classroom-based physical activity plans and resources that support social and emotional learning. Learn more about the Kids Heart Challenge at www.heart.org/kidsheartchallenge.
The “Round Up for Charity” program at English Gardens was launched in 2017, and has raised money to build a Tiny Home, a program with Cass Community Social Services, the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute to support breast cancer research, the American Red Cross, Forgotten Harvest, Capuchin Soup Kitchen, the Judson Center and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
