Select one of the following three recipes and follow the instructions below.
Sweet
Ingredients:
- 1 cup pumpkin seeds
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
Savory
Ingredients:
- 1 cup pumpkin seeds
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar (add after roasting )
Sweet & Spicy
Ingredients:
- 1 cup pumpkin seeds
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Rinse pumpkin seeds and remove any pulp. Pat dry with paper towel. Spread seeds onto an ungreased baking pan. Toss with melted butter or olive oil and stir to coat. Sprinkle with seasoning and stir again. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until they are slightly golden and crispy. Stir once. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.
Microwave Hack
If you want lightning fast pumpkin seeds, the microwave is another option. Simply prepare your pumpkin seeds and place in a microwave-safe dish. Microwave, uncovered, for 2 minutes. Remove from microwave and stir. Repeat this process for 6-8 minutes in total, or until the seeds are golden and crispy.
