Picture tutorials can only help so much. YouTube is a great place to watch videos on tips and tricks other gardeners are sharing! Head to English Gardens Youtube page to learn about everything from orchid care to properly planting in pots.

5. Facebook

Who wouldn’t want to see beautiful flowers on their Facebook feed? Keep friends and family updated with the progress of your garden or houseplants by sharing on Facebook. Facebook’s capabilities, such as albums, live videos, and so much more, are a gardener’s dream for staying social. Follow English Gardens on Facebook for pro tips, event updates, blogs and more. 

4. Pinterest

You can’t deny the power of Pinterest! From getting inspiration for landscape designs to scrolling through floral bouquets, Pinterest has everything a gardener needs. We particularly enjoy using Pinterest for ideas on how to plant succulents. Visit our Pinterest page to stay inspired. 

3. Instagram

Instagram-it’s where gardeners go to show off. Your hydrangeas are blooming spectacularly this summer and only your neighbors get to see. With Instagram, gardeners can share photos with over 600 million users.

2. Instagram’s Boomerang

Why stop at photos? Instagram’s recently released app, named Boomerang, allows you to take quick videos of your garden. Shoot videos of monarchs weaving in and out of plants or a serene fountain in your courtyard.

Our favorite app for its versatility and multiple features. Share photos of your most or least favorite plants to geographically close gardeners who will then decide if they love it, or want to leave it. Use the Explore and Search feature to see what people in your area are growing. Once you find a plant you like, simply click on the information tab to learn more.

Once you have multiple plants you like, organize them into projects. Utilize the projects function to archive plants into a shopping list before you visit English Gardens.

Have a plant in your garden you can’t identify? Upload a picture and a community of gardeners can respond with their suggestions. Or if you just have a question about soil, pests, etc. you can pose the question and monitor responses.
