Spending time with Little Miss = the best Mother’s Day ever. She and I got to spend a little time Saturday after work, outside playing in our garden. We decided to try our hand at planting some veggies from seeds, in ground. I have seen it done many times before from my Grandpa and Dad but have never tried it. She’s liked peas more since we decided to try those. (Everyday it’s something different with a 2 year old). She was so excited to put her “glubs” on and get her Dora “shobel”.
Out we go to weed out garden plot. You gotta love those dandelions. Had a few to dig out to get our sunny area ready.
We planted the seeds along our driveway where there is a fence for the sweet peas to grow on. Little Miss had a ball digging a hole for the seeds. It got to the point where she threw her gloves off to get right into the dirt (that’s my girl!!)
After she had the hole dug, we threw some peas in and covered them up. She picked one of our many solar stakes to mark the spot so we know where to keep an eye on for our sprouts. She was so happy to have helped/do it by herself, even watering in at the end. We can’t wait to be able to pick some peas!!!
